My name is Joan and I'm Irish. I'd describe myself as a very engaging & caring person. I have spent 13 years in the caring profession. My experience includes working with older people, people with dementia, people with learning & physical disabilities, and people with mental health issues. From January I'll be based in the Zurich area but can travel & move.
I have also taught English in various countries & speak Spanish.
My sister is learning disabled & I care for her whenever I am at home in Ireland, taking her on holidays , showing her love and creating joy for her.
I am an excellent, experienced carer - am mature, diligent & reliable. I have a driving license and am at present completely flexible with working hours/ temporary/ full time/ part time/ short notice/ days/ nights/ weekends/ as hoc.
I'd also describe myself as fun, positive, tolerant, patient & honest. I have ample references available at request & am police checked in the UK. I have basic first aid training & multiple other training courses including *dementia *vulnerable adults *health & safety.
I have a common sense approach to work, am sociable, personable and work well alone or in teams. I prefer some Saturdays off per month.
