Hello, I'm Merial, a native New Yorker who recently moved to Zurich! I lived for several years in Edinburgh, Scotland, where I earned two Masters degrees in English Literature.

I have taught English Second Language for several years, online and in person. I've taught both children, ranging ages 4 to 15, as well as adult professionals and am completely comfortable adapting my lessons to match the needs and abilities of the student. I studied French for about ten years in school, and worked as a French tutor for two years, primarily teaching teenage students who were beginning with the language.

As a Native English speaker currently working to learn German since moving abroad, I completely empathise and understand the challenges of learning a new language, and would love to help someone gain knowledge and confidence in a second (or beyond!) language.
