Ingrid, dog walking (Zürich - 8005)

I’m Cuban, living in Switzerland since September 2015. In Cuba I’ve been working as a volunteer for the Cuban-Canadian animal protection organization APAC-Varadero (All for Progress in Animal Care) for 6 years. I was the coordinator of all activities in Cuba. Our team organized sterilization campaigns and operated approx. 800 animals (cats and dogs) per year. We also implemented the first Cat Cafés in Cuba, a concept to protect and control the strey cats populations in hotel resorts. Beside the organizations activities I’ve rescued, fostered and found new homes for a lot of stray dogs and cats. Many of them are living in Canada and Europe now. I took care of them in my house and helped the new owners who wanted to adopt them with all the paper work and made sure that all the documents were in order. I love animals very much. So I’m very happy about any kind of jobs that have to do with animals within Zurich region.
