I am a professional music teacher and singer with training and work experience in London.

I have a PGCE in Music Education and 10 years experience teaching privately , in small groups and classes of up to 30 children. I have also led choirs, rock band and small workshops.

I can teach beginner piano and guitar, up to intermediate violin and up to a professional level singing and solfege. I can also teach music theory and ear training.

My method is holistic. I take each individual student into account and I use their strengths to lead their learning. I tailor the lesson to the student. So each student gets a very different lesson which leads to a similar learning outcome.

I let the students feel that they are leading the learning and the choice of pieces and I use what the student wants to do to teach the necessary technique, interpretation etc I find that this leads to good results fast, rather than pressuring the student to play something that bores him/her. However this is done in a structured way and it helps the students to understand the instrument and what is required to advance.
