My name is Sarah. I’m 30 years old and have just recently moved to Zürich and now hold a B Permit with gainful employment. For over 11 years, I have worked for various global companies with over 8 years in Training & Development field and about 3 years in the English teaching/tutoring field. I am driven and passionate about learning/teaching; my peers have always regarded my teaching style as unorthodox, fun, and imaginative. I enjoy working with diverse people of all ages, am highly driven with an ability to motivate, develop and guide people, resolve problems and establish standards through innovation and creativity.

I was born and raised in Manila, Philippines. My last employment was in Dell. I joined the company in 2011 as a Technical Training Senior Analyst. My functions there included Training-Needs-Analysis, Business English/Skills Development Training, Editing Dell’s quarterly magazine, and Global mandatory training certifications. In addition, I was responsible for the establishment of training curriculums and various development training programs. I have also been part of many outreach programs which involve helping out kids in various ways to learn. Some of the organizations I have helped in are: Childhope Asia Philippines Inc. (An org to help street children become productive citizens), Children’s Joy Foundation Inc.(An org that help abandoned and neglected children recover and get proper education), Tahanang Walang Hagdan Inc.(Rehabilitation and Skills training center dedicated to helping people with disabilities become productive). I have references available.

In the past five months, I have been integrating my self in the language, culture, and people of my new home – Switzerland. I speak English like a native speaker, since I have always spoken it since childhood. It is also the language that I am most comfortable of using day by day, even if my mother tongue is Tagalog (which for the record, I can also speak). I am extremely passionate about learning more languages, my German is on B1 level, I am familiar with many Spanish words (since we Filipinos still use many of them in our daily household) and looking at the possiblities of learning French or Italian in the future to add to my portfolio.

I have been seeking opportunities where I can learn new things and at the same time, apply my skills and expertise in. I am a designer – an architect of the most tailored-fit ways for people to learn a language. I have always believe that we all have our own special ways on learning things, and as an experienced educator, I am confident that I am fully equipped in bringing out just the best in different individuals in terms of learning. I am committed and dedicated to people of all ages who either share the same passion in languages or needing support to learn.
